dentureImplant overdentures are quickly becoming the standard of care for people with complete dentures. People with lower dentures especially benefit from implant overdentures. Just as with implant restorations, metal “roots” are placed in the jaw bones. Usually, depending on the patient, 2-4 implants are needed to support a denture. The implants act as stabilization and are completely covered by the denture. Sometimes, existing dentures can be used to fit over the implants and other times new dentures must be made.

Patients prefer implant overdentures to dentures without implants because the dentures lock into place and there is never a need for denture adhesive.
